Norma Godwin

On 21st January 2023 peacefully in Clitheroe Care Home, Norma, aged 91 years of Whalley. The dearly beloved wife of the late Neil, much loved and loving mum of Paul and daughter in law Denise, cherished grandma of Rachel and Ashton, loved sister of the late Lillian and a dear best friend of Bessie.

Norma spent most of her working life doing bar work. She was hardworking, always smiling and loved bantering and chatting with the customers. Norma liked being in company and was always caring and considerate. Family holidays were spent in Devon and Cornwall and later Norma would enjoy a coach trip each year with Rachel. An avid reader, Norma loved a good crime or murder mystery. She adored the music of Abba and Shirley Bassey and it was a highlight for Norma to have seen Shirley in concert. On her many family trips to Shackletons, Norma always had to buy and plant or a knick-knack for her home. Norma was first and foremost a loving and devoted family lady and in return was loved by her family very, very much. Her love and devotion to her family was inspirational.

Flowers for Norma’s funeral will be received at the Funeral Home.
