Michelle Wood

Peacefully surrounded by her loving family and friends at the Royal Blackburn Hospital on 4th September 2023, Michelle aged 57 years of Clayton-le-Moors. The devoted and much loved mum of Nathan, Natalie, Josh and the late Catherine, loving grandma of Nicholas, Kiara, Jessica, Macauley and Lucas and a dear friend of Gillian, Michelle was also a respected relative and friend to many.

Michelle has worked in various job roles over the years spending time as a care worker and dinner lady, becoming a well known and loved face in the local community. She was the most doting mum and grandma and always looked forward to spending time with her family who she was fiercely protective of. Michelle enjoyed her holidays and spent many happy times with her partner in crime Gillian enjoying breaks to Windy Harbour. She had many friends and could often be found chatting the night away whilst enjoying a drink at the Royal Oak in Clayton with her friend Rossy.

Well Michelle I never thought I would be writing this so soon . I really can’t get my head round it that you av gone I am really going to miss you ???? My drinking partner in crime, your cheekiness and sense of humour I av no one to annoy me now but I av our memories of nights out and holidays. Fly high Michelle with your beautiful daughter Cathrine your together for ever I miss you already ❤️ ????
