Michele Croasdale ‘Shellie’

Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family in hospital on 30th November 2022 aged 56 years of Altham. The devoted and much-loved wife of Paul, adored and loving mum of Donna-Louise and Dominic, loved Daughter of the late Anne & Gerard, dear mother-in-law of Stephen and Angela, cherished grandma of Harvey and Lenny and a loved sister to Geraldine and Donna.

With her naturally caring and giving personality, Shellie found her perfect career in care work, she gave herself freely to all that she came in to contact with, often putting others before herself. In 2014 she became the proud Managing Director of The Bridge Centre, Accrington providing day care for adults with learning disabilities. Shellie was hardworking and passionate about everything; she loved life and truly made the most of each day. She always looked forward to family time when precious memories would be made and wherever Shellie went, she would light up the room with her infectious smile. She was always surrounded by many friends. Holidays were a favourite time for Shellie and she loved to escape to her holiday lodge in North Wales with her husband and soulmate Paul; over the 36 years of marriage together they have travelled to many countries around the world enjoying some well-deserved rest and relaxation. She also enjoyed visiting all her extended family in Belfast. Becoming a grandma was one of Shellie’s proudest moments and she doted on Harvey and Lenny. She would often take them away for
trips around the world and in the family motorhome with their close friends.

We are asking that everyone wear something yellow as this was Shellie’s favourite colour.

Donations are being gratefully received in memory of Shellie on behalf of PKD Charity (Polycystic Kidney Disease). To make a donation please click the ‘Make A Donation’ button at the bottom of this page or send to the funeral directors.

Such devastating news. Sending heartfelt condolences to such a special family. Shellie lit up any room she entered. Her infectious deep laugh just made everyone around her happier. I can never hear Bette Midler’s The Rose without hearing Shellie sing it. The world is more dull & empty without her & so many lives will be quieter without her passion, energy & light. RIP Shellie.

I promise I will take care of Paul and Donna and Dominic and Bridge the best way I can. Forever your Kitty xxxxx
