Peter Cornwell

I met Mel and Brenda when they were on the committee of Great Harwood Sporting Club, I was a teenager waiting on tables there, serving drinks etc in the mid 1970’s. They always brought an air of honesty, professionalism and decency with their involvement with the place which impressed a young me as there were many other ‘characters’ involved at the time. RIP.

Jo & Phil Morrison

God bless Uncle Mel, hoping you’re raising a glass of red with Auntie Brenda xx

Peter Holden – Secretary Churches Together in Great Harwood

Melvyn joined the Churches Together in Great Harwood group in its early days just after the Millennium as the representative of the Orchard Street Methodist Church and has been a leading figure in the management of the team ever since – serving as Treasurer for the last decade.
