A private funeral service will be held at Accrington Crematorium.

Mavis Newham

On 1st April 2021 peacefully at home with her family by her side Mavis, aged 86 years.
Loving wife to the late Ronnie, dearly loved mum to the late Mark, devoted grandma to Zoey, Vikki and Chloe, cherished great grandma to Elias, Olivia and Noah, dear sister to Doreen, sister in law to Rodney, much loved auntie to Maxine, Neil, Sue and Dawn also great auntie, cousin and friend to many.
Mavis was born in Rishton before moving to Huddersfield on her return to Accrington Mavis sought employment with Jas Broadleys and Allspeeds. Mavis loved to go dancing and at the age of 15 she met her future husband Ronnie. Mavis was a devoted family lady and surrounded herself with the ones she loved the most. Family holidays was always looked forward to whether it be in the UK or abroad. Mavis had a love of music and would always be up on her feet whenever she had the opportunity. Mavis was a selfless lady and loved her animals especially her cat, she took great pleasure out of donating to the Donkey Sanctuaries to give the Donkeys a better life Mavis also supported British Heart Foundation and Mental Health Charities .
Mavis will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving her.
