Maureen O’Brien

On 26th August 2019 suddenly at her home, Maureen aged 82 years of Clayton le Moors.  The devoted and much loved wife of Jim, loving mum of Carole and the late Colin, dear mother-in-law of Mick, cherished nan of Paul, Claire, Jack and Sally and great-nan of Harrison, Ella, Louie and also a dear relative and friend.

Maureen started her working life at Mullard’s and later moved to Textiles following the birth of her son Colin as it was closer to home and made looking after her children easier.

In her younger years, she enjoyed holidays in Blackpool getting away with family and friends, and in later years, enjoyed cruising around the Mediterranean with family and friends.

A devoted nan, Maureen looked after her two grandsons when they were young and loved nothing more than spending time with them and her great-grandchildren and spoiling them at every given opportunity. Maureen home was a very happy home for the grandchildren to spend time.

She will be dearly missed.
