Maureen Elizabeth Jackson

Maureen passed away peacefully on the 23rd October, 2022 at home, aged 73 years.

Loving mum, daughter, grandma, great grandma and sister also a dear relative and friend to many.

Maureen will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving her.

I’d like the memory of me to be a happy one.

I’d like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done.

I’d like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways,

Of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days.

I’d like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun;

Of happy memories that I leave when life is done.

Family flowers only please, donations in memory of Maureen are being gratefully received on behalf of East Lancashire Hospice via the blue donate button below.

We worked with Maureen at the dairy in Accrington for some years. She worked in the canteen with my wife, we had some laughs there she was a lovely woman. RIP Maureen.

Nicole Garratty

I have such fond memories of spending time at Maureen and Bill’s during my childhood – playing in the garden, having sleepovers with her grandchildren and having an unlimited supply of Werthers Originals (haha). She was such a friendly and lovely woman who would always stop in the street to speak to me and ask how I was doing. Sending love and condolences from all of the Garratty family. She will be truly missed.
