Peacefully in hospital on 15th March 2022, Maureen aged 83 years of Penwortham. The devoted wife of the late William, loving mother of Karen, dear mother-in-law of David, cherished grandma of Kaylie, Thomas and Conner, great grandma of Tianna, Laila, George and Fred.

Following her school years Maureen worked for Leyland Motors before giving up work to become full time mum and housewife. She later returned to work at Bass Charrington Brewery and became a well respected member of the office team. Following redundancy Maureen and her beloved husband William were able to enjoy a long and happy retirement. They loved to travel and have shared many wonderful holidays both abroad and in the UK. They loved to spend time on the Lancaster canal on their beloved cruiser often accompanied by their grandchildren for special weekend trips. Maureen was always immaculately presented and loved nothing more than having her hair done. She enjoyed day trips out and enjoyed meeting with family fiends for a coffee and a natter and she always looked forward to a meal out.
