On 7th Feburary 2026, Mary aged 92 years. Loving wife of the Late Thomas Blackwell Humphries, Mum to Paul and The Late Sandra. Nan to Craig, Kirsty, Patrick, The Late Shawn and The Late Levi, Great Nan to Evie and a sadly missed friend to many. Mary was a free spirit and the matriarch of the family. fiercely independent and wouldn’t take no for an answer. An avid lover and watcher of horse racing she visited many of the great race courses in the UK and Ireland. now reunited with Thomas.
I remember Mrs Humphreys and her son Paul when I was growing up in Clayton Le Moors in the 1960s.
You are back with Mum now Nan. Thank you for all the memories when I was growing up, all our adventures. Look down on Evie on a Saturday when she’s horse riding. Miss and love you lots. Kirsty xxx
