Mary Graham ‘Molly’
Mary Graham, fondly known as Molly, peacefully departed this life on February 15th, 2024, at the age of 83, in hospital. Molly was a remarkable soul, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of warmth and kindness.
Molly was the beloved widow of Kenneth Graham and the sister of the late Joseph and John. She is survived by her sister-in-law Jean, her daughters Christine and Anita, and her son-in-law Gary. She leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion to her nephews Colin, Ian, Neil, Martin and niece Fiona, as well as to her grandchildren Richard and Joanna, and great-grandchildren Alexander and Lily.
Born in 1940, Molly lived a life filled with adventure and dedication to others. She found solace and joy in exploring the breathtaking landscapes of Scotland and the rest of the UK, scaling mountains with a fearless spirit. Her passion for the great outdoors knew no bounds, and there wasn’t a mountain Molly hadn’t conquered.
In addition to her love for nature, Molly found comfort in the simple pleasures of life. She was an avid fan of snooker and could often be found engrossed in televised matches, her enthusiasm infectious to those around her. Her love for mental challenges led her to enjoy crosswords and puzzles, with Sudoku being one of her specialties.
Molly’s professional journey was one of compassion and dedication. She spent the majority of her working years at Brooke Bond Oxo, where her commitment and work ethic were admired by all who knew her. Later in life, Molly transitioned to a role as an Additional Needs Escort, where she devoted herself to children with learning difficulties and disabilities, leaving a profound impact on their lives and those of their families.
Molly Graham will be remembered not only for her adventurous spirit and unwavering dedication but also for her boundless love and generosity. She leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and resilience that will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Rest in peace, dear Molly. You will be deeply missed, but your spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved you.
