Mary Doreen Birtwistle

At her home surrounded by her loving family, Doreen aged 72 years of Clayton-le-Moors.  The much loved mum of Beverley, Robert and Nicholas, cherished and adored grandma of Josh, Orion, Evie, Josh, Chelsea and Charlotte, devoted sister of April, Ruth, Bill and Elizabeth.

Doreen worked as a supply teacher in many schools and later worked for Hyndburn Borough Council.  She was also a former landlady and off-licence owner.  Doreen was a very house proud lady who loved her home and always kept her garden beautiful.  She was also an avid reader who loved to settle in her chair in front of the fire with a good book or a crossword or soduko puzzle.

A devoted family lady,  Doreen was always their for her family no matter what.
