Marjorie Fryer

Peacefully in hospital on 5th January 2021, Marjorie aged 91 years of Salesbury. The devoted wife of the late Geoffrey, loving and loved mum of Gillian and Nigel, cherished nana of Chloe, Amy and Campbell, dear sister of Doreen and a respected relative and friend to many.

Following her school years Marjorie completed an apprenticeship in hairdressing and later went on to own her own business first in Redlam, Blackburn and then Tudor Hair Fashions, Wilpshire. Marjorie was a cutting edge stylist becoming a well known face within the community. Following her work in hairdressing Marjorie went on to work in various part time positions including receptionist at Montague and Larkhill Health Centre. She was a very social lady and loved to meeting up with friends and family, she enjoyed travel and always looked forward to her holidays, both abroad and in the UK. She was an avid Crown Green Bowler and member of Salesbury Bowling Club playing in the league entering many competitions. Marjorie was an active member of St Peter’s Church Salesbury often helping out with organising Church events.
