Marian's funeral service will take place at St Cuthbert's Church, Darwen followed by committal at Pleasington Crematorium.

Peacefully with her four daughters by her side on 12th March 2019, Marian aged 80 years of Lower Darwen. The much loved and adored mum of Julie, Janet, Gillian and Lynne, dear mother-in-law, cherished nana and great nana, loved sister-in-law and best friend of Mary Crompton.

Marian was a housewife and mum, devoted to raising her family. A proud nana and great nana, Marian loved to see them all and enjoyed nothing more than family get togethers.
An avid Blackburn Rovers fan, Marian followed them on TV and was a season ticket holder for nearly 60 years. She enjoyed knitting and planting up the hanging baskets, making her famous cheese and onion pie as well as relaxing watching tv watch quiz shows. She always had a stream of visitors and that became her window to the outside world.
