Margaret Taylor

Margaret passed away peacefully on the 13th December 2022 at the Royal Blackburn Hospital with family by her side, aged 79 years.

Devoted partner to Paul, dearly loved mum to Linda, cherished grandma to Ben and Ed, a dear mother in law to Stephen, much loved sister to Thomas and sister in law to Kathleen, dearly loved auntie to Ivan and Julie also a friend to many.

Margaret started her working life when she trained as a dog groomer, she then went onto work in inspection at Eubank before retiring from Rist Wires where she worked as a Supervisor.

Margaret had a lifelong passion for Horses, she would go out riding for miles and this was when Margaret was at her happiest. Margaret had the pleasure of owning several horses of her own over the years but most recently Mr Tom, together they would set of on their adventures and he knew all of their favourite stopping points. Margaret’s passion for horses was passed down to her daughter Linda, Margaret loved to go and watch Linda competing in shows, they both shared a love for animals and Margaret would often help out with Linda’s Hens and Ducks.   Margaret was a well-known face on horseback in the local community but after losing Mr. Tom she found lots of happiness at Accrington Riding Centre were Margaret was welcomed and fussed over and able to continue to enjoy her passion away from the traffic etc. When Margaret wasn’t riding she was very much a home bird and loved spending time with her much loved partner Paul they thoroughly enjoyed each others company. Margaret loved to read the Accrington Observer and the Lancashire Telegraph to catch up on the local gossip. Margaret will be lovingly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving her.
