Generous, kind and fun loving lady

On Monday 23rd July 2018 in Airedale Hospital, Margaret aged 76 years of West House near Ingleton.

Margaret was a loving wife to Stephen, a wonderful mum to Karen and Kerry, a fantastic grandma,  best friend to her sister, Jean and a kind auntie.  She was generous, kind and fun loving. She loved to laugh and had a great sense of humour. She was an entertainer, actress, auctioneer and dancer ( she danced in a local group at Ingleton until she could no longer remember the steps.) She loved walking with her daughter Kerry and was a strong swimmer ( the fastest in her county as a teenager).
She enjoyed a glass of wine or two and bar snacks in the local pubs with her husband Steve and her many friends.
Sadly Margaret was diagnosed with Dementia five years ago and she has struggled with this terrible disease ever since. Thanks to Steve she was able to stay in the family home for most of her illness where she was loved and cared for. Although we, her family, have been grieving for years as Margaret became increasingly ill, we are still devastated to lose her completely.
For those who were lucky enough to know her and plan on attending her funeral, we know she would have preferred donations to help prevent others suffering from Dementia instead of flowers .
