Margaret Birtwistle

On 3rd June 2023, peacefully in hospital with her loving family by her side, Margaret, aged 80 years of Great Harwood. A loving sister to Winnie, Julia, Mary, late Betty, Joe, Jim, John and Anne. A dearly and devoted mum of Colin and his wife Sharon, Christine and her husband John, Lisa and her husband Jason. Loved by all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Margaret retired at 60 and previously worked at Ewbank in Accrington the famous carpet sweeper manufacturers. She enjoyed her retirement and was a regular at the local Bingo Hall where she attended at least twice a week with her friends playing bingo and winning on the bandits. At home Margaret loved solving a crossword, smoking her favourite cigarettes and would go out shopping regularly. Margaret had a fun life, a wicked sense of humour and loved all her family, friends and especially her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all.
