The ceremony to celebrate and give thanks for Betty's life will take place at St Bartholomew's Parish Church, Great Harwood followed by cremation at Accrington Crematorium.

Margaret Betty Howson (Betty)

Peacefully passed away on the 26th December aged 91 years. 
Beloved mother of Valerie, Gordon, Suzan and Trudy. Treasured Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Auntie. Betty was respected and well liked by all who knew her. She will be sadly missed.

Betty spent some of her working life as a postmistress at the post office on St Hubert’s Road in Great Harwood, in her spare time she was an avid Bridge player and played at Bank Mill where she played right up until the Christmas holidays of 2019.

Betty was also a well travelled lady and was privileged to see some wonderful places such as Australia, she also loved her coach holidays with her family.

Betty was a very sociable person who liked meeting new people, she was very outgoing in her own quiet way.

Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother she will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving her.
