Magdalena Helen Hargreaves (Helen)

Peacefully surrounded by her loving family on 21st June 2019 at Hope House, Helen aged 86 years of Clayton le Moors. The devoted wife of Fred and the late George, loved mum of Peter and Linda, cherished grandma of Louise, Eve, Max, Simon and Dean.

Born in Yugoslavia, Helen moved to the UK at 18 years of age, looking for work. She met and married her first husband George and started a family. Together, they enjoyed caravanning holidays in the Lake District and travelling around in motorbike and sidecar. Following the loss of George, Helen later met and married Fred with whom she created many happy memories of good times together.  A lover of gardening and walking, Helen was first and foremost a devoted family lady and she gave them her all.
