Lynne Ivens
On 4th March 2022, suddenly but peacefully, receiving a Blessing, Lynne, aged 66 years of Clayton-le-Moors. The dearly loved wife of the late Michael, devoted mum to Nicola and Carley, dear mother in law of Paul, cherished grandma of Joshua, Caelen, Oliver and Louie, dearly loved daughter of Ronnie and the late Annie, loved sister of Steven, Beverley and Martyn and also a loved sister in law and auntie.
Lynne began her working life in the office at Associated Dairies before she became a child minder. Lynne adored children and was known as ‘Auntie Lynne’. She was loving, patient, wise and kind. Lynne also spent many years working as a carer and Wellfield & Henley House before moving to Broadfield in Oswaldtwistle. Lynne had a lovely smile and a warm, sunny nature and loved all people. She loved her home and enjoyed reading a good book. Her life was all about family and Lynne was the most doting grandma – every moment spent with her family was precious. Over the years Lynne adored her holidays abroad and cruises and, having visited Croatia for a day, she always had a yearning to return. Lynne will be remembered for being a truly lovely lady with a golden heart.

My best friend is your daughter, Lynne. Many a special memory was had either in your home or on holiday. You took me under your wing like I was your own. I felt safe when I was around you ( apart from when you caught me and carley drinking underage ) then I was scared ! You was so selfless, thoughtful and cared about everyone around you. I will miss your Xmas cards, seeing you in the street having a natter and just being around. I hope you have found peace with Mick. Your personality lives on in your girls and I want to say thankyou for being apart of my childhood and throughout my adulthood. God bless and rest in peace xxx
