Lorraine Marie Heyes
On Sunday 7th March after a short battle with cancer Lorraine aged 50 years.
Loving mother of Jamie and Whitley, adoring grandmother of Grace Ruth, beloved daughter of the late Ruth and Joe, dear sister of the late Lisa and Sharon, loving aunty of Megan, Kallum, Mia, Laura and Hannah a dear nice of Gladys and Thomas, favourite cousin of Justin. Lorraine will be sadly missed by all
Lorraine enjoyed being active and always kept her self fit. She loved a challenge and was very proud to have completed the Tough Mudder obstacle course. With her naturally giving personality, Lorraine loved her work as a health care worker, devoting herself to those with special needs and she was also the most talented seamstress. Holidays were always looked forward to, spending time in Mexico, Cuba and America. Most of all, Lorraine was a devoted mum, grandma, daughter and loyal friend who always looked forward to spending time with those that she loved and cherished.
Lorraine will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving her.

I am truly devastated that Lorraine sadly passed away. I briefly met Lorraine in RBH when I was a patient on the same ward. I had two emergency operations. Lorraine got discharged. I woke to see beautiful daffodils on my side table that she had left for me. Lorraine also knew I was distressed and made an impromptu visit to make sure she saw me after my ops. I didn’t know Lorraine for very long. I popped into Great Harwood and was absolutely devastated to learn the news. A kind and a lady with a big heart. She truly made a difference xx.
