Linda Roberts

On 26th May, 2023 Linda passed away suddenly at her home, aged 75 years, of Great Harwood. The much loved and loving mum of Simon, Kirsty and partner Simon.

Linda started her career at Brockhall as a Special Needs teacher, becoming a peripatetic teacher travelling throughout Lancashire training teachers, until her retirement. Efficient, organised and passionate about her work, Linda was well respected and liked by all. She was a talented, happy and natural baker, making the best Chilli and fennel sausage rolls (her own special recipe) and rhubarb crumbles. She loved to bake for others too. Home was Linda’s happy place and she was so house proud – she had a place for everything and everything was in its place. Linda enjoyed reading historic romance novels and especially loved her cats. She was well settled in her routine and loved her daily morning walk to Nightingale’s Garage to collect her newspaper, always with a pocket full of dog treats, spending a very happy hour or two, passing the time of day with the morning dog walkers.  Devoted to her children, Linda was always loving, always caring, always there. She will be sadly missed by all.
