Lilian Maud Liggins

Much loved family lady

On 28th March peacefully in hospital, Lilian aged 91 years of Clayton-le-Moors. The dearly loved wife of the late Thomas, much loved mum of David, Steven, Christine and Martin, also a dear mother-in-law, loving grandma, great grandma and great-great grandma.

Lilian worked in the mills prior to getting married and having her family. Family was everything to Lilian and she had especially fond memories of family holidays to Blackpool and holidays to Benidorm where she would enjoy the sunshine with her sisters. She was very close to her sisters – Audrey, Pat and the late Joyce and her sister-in-law May. Together they spent many happy hours at the Hare and Hounds. She was also very close to her late brothers Hubert and Jim and she loved nothing more than to spend lots of time with her grandchildren. Lilian enjoyed dancing with Thomas and she also enjoyed music and a good TV drama as well as a spot of knitting.
