Leslie John Mitchell – Les, Mitch, Fossil

On 31st August 2022, peacefully in a private care home, Les, aged 90 years formerly of Banstead in Surrey and Wimbledon. The dearly loved dad of Lynn, John and Andy, dear father in law of Martin, Monica and Emma, loving grandad of Claire, Michaela and Jenny and great grandad of Kaylum, Chloe, Jack, George and Aiden.

In his working life, Les ran a second hand motorbike shop with his father before becoming a mechanic with the Surrey Ambulance Service. Les then became a compression engineer and continued working up into his late 70’s. Always active and on the go, he was hard working and liked to get the job done. In his early years he did grass track motorbike racing and was an active and committed member of the Scouts Association for over 5o years, loving the outdoor life. He enjoyed family holidays to Disneyland, Florida, Cyprus and Spain. Always so smartly dressed, Les had a great sense of humour and enjoyed the company of others, particularly having a twinkle in his eye for the ladies. Les was a loving family man and will be greatly missed by all.
