Suddenly, following a tragic accident on 25th April 2026, Kim, aged 64 years, of Rishton and formerly of Billington. The devoted and much-loved husband of Katie, loving dad of Sam, Sally and Kim, cherished step-dad of Sarah, Michael and Beth, adored son of Maureen and the late Barrie, treasured grandad of Loui, Tommy, Frankie and Ellie, step-grandad of Matthew, Grace and Eve, dear brother of Steven and his wife Sally, and a much-loved uncle, relative and friend to many.

A true gentleman in every sense of the word, Kim was kind and caring, always willing to go out of his way to help anyone at any time. A devoted family man, he treasured every moment spent with those he loved. Kim was a passionate motorcycle enthusiast, and his BMW motorbike was one of his greatest joys. He relished every opportunity to get out on the open road, embracing the freedom it brought him. He was well known and highly respected within the motorbike community. Kim began his working life as a butcher after leaving school and later went on to become a director at First 4 Print Finishing. He took great pride in his work and formed many lasting friendships throughout his career. He also greatly enjoyed his holidays, both in the UK and abroad. Kim loved his food, whether dining out or enjoying a simple, hearty meal, his favourite being a traditional pie. Just a couple of weeks ago, he and his beloved wife Katie celebrated their anniversary with a special fine dining experience at Northcote.

Kim was loved by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered with love and a smile.

It is with a heavy heart that I say goodbye to a dear friend, Kim Nicholson.

Kim was one of those rare souls who made the world a genuinely better place just by being in it. A true gentleman — lovely, kind, and generous to his core. He gave his time, his warmth, and his friendship so freely, and those of us lucky enough to know him are richer for it.

He will be so deeply missed. Rest easy, Kimberly (as he was known to me) x

Kim was in the Gymnastics team with myself & others at Ribblesdale school many years ago.
I later knew Kim as we lived on the same estate in Billington.

Kim was one of the first to say hello to me when my family moved to Whalley in the early '70s..
He was part of the Whalley Youth Club, terrible dancer, all legs and elbows! Kim had the biggest smile. X

I live next door to Kim and his family for around 8 years before I moved to Sheffield but I grew up around Sam and Sally for a lot of my childhood.
To them and the family Kim met later in life my deepest condolences.
He was a good yet quiet man but a very family oriented person. I truly hope he lived life to the full which upon reading what was said he really did! Gone too soon Kim RIP sir and again much love and sorrow to the family. X
