Memorial Book

Peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family, on 13th October 2025, Ken, aged 46 years, of Great Harwood and formerly of Burnley.
The devoted and much-loved husband of Louise, loving and proud dad of Aaron and Sophie, cherished son of Marjorie and Tony, dear brother of Alan and Ian, and a dearly loved relative and friend to many.

A true gentleman, Ken was loved and respected by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Born and raised in Burnley, he built a successful career as an IT Engineer at Chess ITC, where he was fondly known as “a genius in his field.” His natural intelligence and passion for technology made him the go-to person for anything computer-related. Outside of work, Ken enjoyed relaxing in front of the TV, with favourite programmes ranging from The Antiques Roadshow and Lovejoy to nature documentaries and quiz shows that challenged his vast general knowledge. Family was always at the centre of Ken’s world, he loved nothing more than spending time with his loved ones. One of his greatest joys was setting off on spontaneous mystery tours in his much-loved Vivaro van with his daughter Sophie, music blaring and smiles all around. Ken also had a keen interest in cars, particularly BMWs, and loved his holidays both in the UK and abroad, where the family could unwind and make precious memories together. He enjoyed keeping active, whether running, mountain biking, or kayaking, and he embraced life with enthusiasm and humour. Ken’s zest for life, fun-loving nature, and fondness for a good glass of red wine, often rounded off with a whisky, will be remembered by all who knew him.

Family flowers only, please. Donations are being gratefully received in Ken’s memory on behalf of Cancer Research UK.

I was so sorry to hear about Ken. He was a brilliant colleague and an even better friend—someone who could light up a room with his humour and always had time to help, no matter how busy things got.
I’ll always remember the laughs we shared at work and the way Ken approached everything with such positivity and calm. He was one of those rare people who made things better just by being there.
Thinking of you all and sending love during this tough time. Ken will be missed more than words can say.
