Kenneth (Brad) Bradley

Peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on 22nd July, 2022 Brad, aged 74 years of Great Harwood. The devoted and much loved husband of Pauline, loving dad of Leighton and Liam, cherished grandad of Courtney, Shannon, Dana and Decon, great-grandad of Harley, Charlie, Hudson and Mackenzie, dear brother of Rex and Roy and also a respected relative and friend to many.

Known locally as ‘Honest Ken’, Brad was a well known local character. He was hard working and a true grafter and was well known in the building trade. He was a typical ‘Del Boy’,  known for his wheeling and dealing. He even had his very own bar at home. Brad loved to socialise and could often be seen in the local pubs of Great Harwood enjoying a pint of lager or his favourite vodka and coke whilst chatting away to his many friends. He was a sports fanatic who enjoyed all sports especially football, boxing and darts and he was a life long supporter and season ticket holder at Burnley football club. Brad loved his holidays and always looked forward to trips to his favourite destinations –  Benidorm and Tenerife, where he would always be the life and soul of the party. A devoted family man, Brad was the most doting grandad and great grandad.

When I first moved to Great Harwood over 40 years ago I got talking to ken he was pointing to a house, before I left he said were going to Butlins in a couple of weeks he invited me and Christine to come along I thought that was a great gesture and Ken and his mates made us feel welcome. He was a true character and will be sadly missed.
