Keith Dodding

On 16th August 2019 peacefully in Springhill Care Home surrounded by his loving family, Keith aged 92 years of Great Harwood, formerly of Dugdale Road, Burnley. The dearly loved husband of Audrey, much loved father of Diana, Jane and Craig, loving brother to Helen, also a loving father-in-law, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law and uncle.

Keith carried out his two years national service in the Royal Marines as a PTE Instructor and he was then asked to be Physical Training Officer. He then went on to work for Burnley Borough Police as Sergeant No 3 which then became Lancashire Constabulary and he was also Chief Fire Arms Instructor at Hutton.

A keen sportsman, Keith played football and crown green bowling for the police and he was an LTA coach. He was also a talented tennis player in the East Lancs and Evening League and played all throughout the winter.  He could turn his hand to DIY and enjoyed flicking through the Daily Express and keeping up-to-date with the news on TV.

Above all, Keith was a devoted family man.
