Kathleen Foster ‘Kath’

Passed away peacefully at the Woodlands on 23rd November 2022 aged 96 years of Kingsway, Church. The devoted wife of the late Roy, loving mother of Barbara and Pam, dear mother-in-law of Alan and David, cherished and adored grandma of Cassie, Steven, Sam, Matthew, Gemma and Beth, great-grandma of Archie, Max, Theo, Jasmin, Aubrey, Evie, Millie and Poppy.

Born and  bred in Clayton, Kath was the most doting family lady who always put her family first and always looked forward to getting together for a family gathering. She was a loving mum and grandma who adored each of her grandchildren. A former member of St James’  Church Clayton and later a member of All Saints Church and the pastoral auxiliary and gave much of her time to visiting fellow members of the church in their own homes. Kath always gave herself freely to others and for over fifty years she ran the Forget Me Not Club in Clayton-le-Moors, proving a friendly safe haven for the local elderly population.
