Kathleen Elizabeth Theaker ‘Kath’

On 31st July 2025, Kath aged 78 years of Great Harwood sadly passed away at her home after a short illness, The devoted wife of the late David, much loved mum to Graham, step mum to Carole and Martin, cherished grandma and great grandma, and a dear relative and friend to many.

Kath spent her career in administrative roles across various companies before taking early retirement. A passionate gardener, she and David spent countless joyful hours nurturing their garden into a vibrant display of colour. Kath was also a keen reader, especially fond of romantic novels she always had one on the go.

In her younger years, Kath loved to travel and visited destinations as far afield as Australia, Croatia, and many parts of Europe. She treasured her weekly catch ups with her dear friend Pat over lunch at their favourite spot, Read Garden Centre, where laughter and good conversation were guaranteed.

Proud, fiercely independent, and known for her wicked sense of humour, Kath also loved to shop whether in town or online. Her cupboards were always well stocked, and her freezer was never empty.

Kath will be remembered with love, missed deeply, and cherished always by all who were lucky enough to know her. Now reunited with her beloved David.

Family flowers only please, donations can be made in her memory on behalf of  Lancashire and Cheshire Lupus Association UK. A donation box will be available on the day of the funeral.

Kath has specifically requested everyone to wear something bright and colourful.
