The service will be held in All Saints Church, Clayton-le-Moors followed by cremation at Accrington Crematorium.
Kath, passed away peacefully on 29th December 2025, aged 88 years, of Rishton. The dearly beloved wife of the late Dennis, a much loved and loving mum of Michael and the late Paul, and a much loved partner of Harry.
Dennis was an optician at Tyrrell & Cahill, where Kathleen also worked for several years on reception. Outside of work, Kath had a great love of travelling and adored the sunshine. Many happy holidays were spent in the Caribbean and the Mediterranean, along with much-loved cruises that brought her immense joy.
Gardening was a true passion, and over the years Dennis, Kathleen and Michael created the most beautiful garden together, a genuine labour of love. She also took great pride in her home, which she loved dearly. Kath was an avid reader, especially enjoying a good murder mystery, and she was the most wonderful cook – as the daughter of a confectioner, she learned the art of excellent cookery, and everything was made with love from scratch.
Kath will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered.
