Memorial Book
Suddenly, surrounded by her loving family on 14th December 2025, June, aged 78 years, of Great Harwood. The devoted and much-loved wife of Les, a loving mum to Paul and Adam, dearly loved mother-in-law to Liz and Jo, and a cherished and adored grandma to Thomas, Mia, Sam and Layla, as well as her beloved “grand-dogs” Dave and Coco. A dear sister to Graham and his wife Jean, sister-in-law to Liz and her husband Nigel, a much-loved Aunty to Scott, Jane and Andrew, ‘Aunty June’ to many more and a friend to all.
A former administrator for Lancashire Police, June spent many years proudly serving the force at Great Harwood, Accrington, Clitheroe and Blackburn police stations. She loved her work and made many lifelong friends through her colleagues over the years. In her later years, June also worked for her brother’s company, Danley Engineering. June loved a party and was always the first on the dance floor and the last to leave — a true social butterfly who adored being surrounded by her family and friends. She was the most devoted family lady, and her boys and grandchildren made her glow with pride. June treasured spending time with each of them, always showering them with love and kindness. She was also the world’s number one doggy grandma to her adored grand-dogs, Dave and Coco. June adored all animals and ensured there was always an endless supply of bird and squirrel feed in her garden, which welcomed a constant stream of wildlife visitors. Holidays were always a favourite time for June, and she enjoyed many wonderful trips, from travelling across Europe to visiting the USA, as well as several luxury worldwide cruises. One particularly memorable holiday was when the whole family spent an amazing time together at Disney World, Florida.
June was loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She will be deeply missed, but fondly remembered with love and warmth.
Family flowers only please. Donations are being gratefully received in June’s memory on behalf of Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary.

We have lost a true and amazing friend who was more like a sister. She made everything special with her unique humour and love. Goodnight and God bless June. We will always love you.
June and Les have been our next door neighbours at Causeway for 37 years. We were so lucky to have had June in our lives. Our girls and their husbands loved June unconditionally, as did Glyn and me. Her friendship and support were unconditional and we will miss her beyond words..
Sleep soundly June, you will always be in our thoughts and prayers. xxxxxx

To have had ‘Aunty June’ in our lives has been such a joy, a wonderful person and who was always around when I was growing up across the road on causeway.
One of my best memories of her was at our wedding where she spent the night dancing away with our groomsmen, still makes me smile when we watch it back.
Such a fantastic person to have had the pleasure of knowing and someone who I can say only had positive energy to make the lives of those around her that much better. She will be sadly missed.
Thoughts are with the family.
Sending our love and condolences to all the family. We have some happy memories which make us smile
