June Leeming née Keighley

June of Oswaldtwistle passed away suddenly at her home on 14th March 2023, aged 76 years. The devoted and much loved wife of Stuart, loving and loved mum of Carl, Lisa and Nicola, dear mother-in-law of Daniel and Martin, cherished grandma of Kian, Joel, Amelia and Melissa, sister of Dennis and the late Rennie.

Following her school years, June began her working life as a clerical worker working for various local companies. Following her marriage to her beloved Stuart, June became a full time mum and housewife. She always ensured the house ran like clockwork and prepared the most tasty traditional meals for the family. In the 90’s June returned to work, working for Hyndburn Borough Council until her retirement. She was a social butterfly and June’s home always had an open door policy and she loved to gather her family and friends for a party at her home. June gave much of her time helping to raise funds for the NSPCC and Manchester Kidney Unit and was always on hand to help out wherever she was needed. June loved her holidays and in younger years these were spent as a family in the caravan and in later years she ventured further afield visiting Europe and she treated her family to a once in a life time visit to Florida. She was the most doting grandma to her grandchildren and loved to spend time with them and would always find an excuse to spoil them with both love and treats.

Family flowers only please. Donations can be made in June’s memory on behalf of North West Air Ambulance (NWAA) & East Lancashire Hospice. June was so loving, caring and thoughtful. She would write such lovely words on Christmas cards and birthday cards. We have lots of happy memories of the parties at Green Haworth and dancing with her to the Quo and at Lisa’s birthday party. Whenever we hear The Quo we always think of her and when we went to see them at KGH with her, Stuart and Lisa. I will miss her and our long chats on the phone. RIP June you will be very much missed. ♥ ♥
