Julie Jameson

Peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family on 15th September, 2022 Julie, aged 59 years of Clayton-le-Moors. The devoted and loved wife of Donald, adored and loving mum of Lyndsey and Robert, dear mother-in-law of Paul and Hayley, cherished grandma of Chelsea, Kiera and George, great-grandma of Darcie, loved sister of Jayne, Geoff and Susan and best friend of Wilma. Julie was also a well respected relative and friend to many.

Julie’s family was the centre of her universe, she shared a unique and special bond with each family member and would go out of her way to look after them and find any excuse to spoil them. She was the most amazing cook and baker and her treats held legendary status within her family and huge circle of friends. She was a well known face in the local community and gave much of her time helping anyone in need. Julie worked as a dinner lady at Mount Pleasant and also in the kitchens at Calderstones Hospital. Family holidays were always a favourite for Julie, in younger years these were spent at caravan parks across the UK and in later years she enjoyed many trips abroad. Julie’s home on Lancaster Drive always had an open door policy and everyone was made to feel welcome. She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.

Donations are being received in memory of Julie on behalf of East Lancashire Hospice. To make a donation please click the ‘Make A Donation’ button at the bottom of this page or send to the funeral director.

Thoughts for all, a lovely lady.

What a lovely service for you today Julie, your family did you proud. The closing poem DASH was definitely meant for you. If anyone lived their life to the full it was you, so full of fun wit and support for others. We remembered our years of friendship on Victor St as we both did our houses up and lived in rubble at times. But we got through it with plenty of brews and chats. You’ve left a massive hole in your family and many peoples lives, but the fabulous memories you left them will help carry them through. Like Paul said in the service, they can think of a story for every occasion. What an absolute legend you were Julie xx
