John Southworth

Suddenly but peacefully in hospital on 17th December 2019 John aged 81 years of Accrington. The devoted and much loved husband of Margaret, loving dad of Gillian and John, dear father-in-law of David and Anita, cherished grandad and great-grandad, dear brother of Irene and brother-in-law of Ray.

John’s working life was as an engineer, he worked for many years as a fitter at CV Buchan and he always enjoyed his work. John was well known around the town especially in the Marlborough Club and the Grey Horse Pub where he enjoyed meeting up with his many friends for a pint of bitter. John’s favourite holiday destination was Blackpool where he loved to get away for some rest and relaxation. In his younger years John was a keen motorcyclist. John loved to listen to music and his favourite singers were Elvis and Frankie Laine.

John was a proud grandad who will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.
