Joan Margaret Whittle

Suddenly at her home on 2nd October 2020, Joan aged 80 years of Rishton. The devoted wife of the late Leonard, much loved mum of Eric and his wife Irene, dear sister of Michael and his wife Carol, cherished grandma of Adam and Katie, dear auntie of Lisa, Guy and Max, Joan was also a dear relative and friend to many.

Joan spent all her working life at Greenbank Engineering as a secretary / PA, Joan enjoyed her work and made many good friends along the way. A very sociable lady, Joan loved the company of her family and friends and loved nothing more than a catch up over a glass of wine or two. Holidays were always looked forward to, she adored the sunshine and spent many happy times relaxing at her brothers apartment in Tenerife and also enjoyed trips to America and Canada. Joan loved her home and garden and always ensured they were kept immaculate.

Joan will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
