Joan Grives

Suddenly in hospital on 25th September 2019, Joan aged 82 years of Rishton. The devoted wife of the late Peter, much loved ‘mam’ of Raymond and Barry, loving mother-in-law of Sandra, cherished grandma of Emma and great-grandma of Arron and Alara, a dear auntie and good friend to all that knew her.

Joan was a people person, she always put others first and would always be on hand to look after anybody that needed a little care, her door was always open and everyone and anyone was welcome in to her home.  Joan loved her holidays, she adored the sunshine and always looked forward to her next trip away, especially to Almerìa to visit her family. Bingo was a favourite pass time and hobby of Joan’s and she would enjoy a trip to the Mecca Bingo Hall at Blackburn and Burnley at any given chance and often would visit several times each week.

A selfless lady who will be missed by many.
