Joan Forrest

Peacefully in hospital on 17th February 2022, Joan aged 94 years of Clayton-le-Moors. The devoted wife of the late Harry, loving mum of the late Paul and the late Pamela and cherished grandma of Ben and his wife Monique.

Life long active member of Clayton Baptist Church and in recent years the local Methodist Church, Joan was a well known and loved face in the local community. Joan’s working life was spent at Mr Rowland’s Solicitors as an office clerk, where with her keen eye for detail she was a well respected member of the working team. At home Joan loved to spend time in her garden which was always immaculate and bloomed in full colour throughout the seasons. She enjoyed travel and has visited Canada several times over the years visiting family and friends and always looked forward to trips to the lake district. She adored birds and always ensured her feeders in the garden were kept well stocked. Joan was a devoted Christian, living a life of true Christian values, she was strong minded, determined and fiercely independent.

Joan will be sadly missed by all those who knew her.
