Jessie Kinder

On 3rd March 2022, peacefully in hospital, Jessie, aged 89 years of Rishton. The dearly loved wife of the late George, much loved and loving mum of Gillian and Andrew and dear mother in law of Sharon.

Jessie was well known in Rishton, on their farm on Blackburn Road. She loved all animals and was especially fond of her Corgis and Labradors. She also had many cats over the years. Jessie was creative and artistic and in her earlier years worked for Isobel Winters dressmaking baby linens and was also their window dresser. She was talented at knitting and embroidery and loved flower arranging. A great cook, Jessie made the best cheese and onion pies and Victoria sponge cakes. She was the most wonderful home maker and as long as the children and George were happy, Jessie was happy too. She loved to listen to music and loved a good Bond film – especially when Sean Connery starred and she loved to laugh along to the Carry On films. Jessie leaves behind a wonderful legacy of love and laughter in her family.
