Jeanette Rea

Peacefully in hospital with her husband and niece by her side on 13th May 2019, Jeanette aged 79 years of Clayton-le-Moors.  The devoted and much loved wife of Thomas, much loved sister of Ken, Tom, Ivan, Maureen and twin sister of the late Derek, and loving auntie and friend to many.

Jeanette started her working life in the mill as a weaver and later worked at Asda and at then at Wells food factory in Great Harwood for over 27 years before her retirement.

Special memories were made on holidays with her husband Tommy, especially on river cruises and coach trips.  In her spare time, Jeanette enjoyed knitting and reading books, as well as Saturday night at the Conservative Club playing bingo and watching the turn.
