Jean Booth

In hospital peacefully surrounded by her loving family on 26th January 2024, Jean aged 79 years of Clayton-le-Moors. The devoted wife of the late John, much loved mum of Polly and Stephen who sadly died suddenly and unexpectedly three days after his mum on 29th January. Cherished ‘Granny Boo’ of Moss and his partner Stacey, Martin, Emily and her partner Kieron, Joyce and Steven, mother-in-law of Dawn and the late Victor and great grandma of Alisha, Kira, Chloe, Kinsley, Araya, Katleigh, Lacey, Tylor and Elivictor, Jean was also a loyal relative and good friend to many.

Born and raised in Rishton, Jean lived her whole life in the Hyndburn area and was a well loved face in the Clayton community where she had spent many happy years. She was funny and Jean had the most amazing sense of humour, she loved nothing more than a good laugh and always looked forward to drink of her favurite tipple, Brandy. In her younger years, Jean spent time working as a factory worker making handbags. Jean loved people and once you had made friends with her you had a friend for life and you could never forget her amazing bubbly personality. Jean doted on her family she was the most loving mum and ‘granny Boo’ and she was loved by all her family in return.

    Jean ran rings around me, she supported me when Matt was serving in Afghanistan. I got called to go round for cups off tea, when Matt got a serious girlfriend summoned up to Jean’s too be checked out. Wonderful lady and remembering John too God Bless Jean xxxxx
