Janina Feliksa Gronska
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Janina Feliksa Grońska, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She peacefully departed this world, surrounded by the love of her family, on 25th December 2023. Janina was the widow of Stanisław, sister to the late Jozef and Tadeusz. Mother to Roman, Krystyna, Wieslaw, Jadwiga and the late Helena and Henryk, grandmother to Malgorzata, Iwona, Darekm, Kamila, Isabella, Wieslaw and Elizbieta. Great grandma to Joel, Kobe, Amari and Fabio. She leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and joy that will forever be cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing her.
Janina faced the challenges of life with unparalleled grace, beginning her journey as an orphan at the tender age of five. Her spirit, marked by serenity, guided her through the difficulties she encountered, shaping the compassionate woman she became. In marriage to Stanisław, they cultivated a life on a farm in Mazury, Poland, before settling by the sea in Ustka. Janina met Stanislaw when working as a cleaner in a shipyard. Sadly he passed away in 1985 and Janina continued to exhibit strength and resilience.
Known for finding joy in life’s simple pleasures, Janina had a remarkable ability to make her grandchildren and great-grandchildren smile. Her playful nature, love for jokes, and penchant for sharing interesting facts created a home filled with laughter and warmth. Her love extended to activities such as watching TV, exploring photo albums, and engaging in card games. She held a particular fondness for documentaries featuring wild animals.
In the words to be shared at her funeral, her grandchildren express gratitude for the gift of Janina’s presence in their lives. They remember her as a believer, a beacon of joy, and a source of unwavering strength. Janina’s faith in God was the cornerstone of her existence, and she faced death with a serene anticipation of eternal life.
Despite life’s hardships, Janina lived with an enduring spirit that touched the hearts of all who knew her. Her legacy as a loving grandmother who could face any challenge with a cup of tea and a warm embrace will forever be etched in the memories of her family. As she departs this earthly realm, the family takes solace in the belief that Janina has found peace in the Kingdom of Heaven, reunited with loved ones gone before her.
Dear Grandma Janina, your laughter, love, and wisdom will continue to resonate in the hearts of those you leave behind. May you rest in eternal peace, and may your spirit continue to inspire us to find joy in life’s little moments, just as you did throughout your remarkable journey.
