James McGregor McLeod ( Jamie )

On 14th December 2019, peacefully in hospital, Jamie aged 71 years of Nelson. The dearly loved husband of Barbara, much loved dad of Andrew and Paul, dear father in law of Julie and Dionne and loving grandad of Jak, Chantelle, Marcus and Tyler.

Jamie spent over 30 years working as an engineer for British Gas North West. He loved his work and travelled all over the north west of England. He was a great fan of all sports and loved to play golf and always enjoyed his golfing trips to Spain with his friends, where they played in various competitions. Jamie had also been an avid football fan and had played in his younger years. Hailing from Scotland and coming to England at the age of 16 with his best friend, Jamie’s heart always remained with his beloved team, Rangers. Jamie also loved to watch boxing and played darts and snooker and, with his great talent, had won several trophies for his pool playing prowess. Following his retirement he loved to cook and enjoyed experimenting with new recipes found on Google and Barbara would be his taste tester. Jamie was very witty and had a super sense of humour, always looking on the bright side. He was a doting grandad who loved keeping up to date with all his grandchildren.
