James Holden (Jim)
Jim passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at his home on 18th October 2022 aged 89 years. The devoted and loved husband of Sylvia, adored dad of Peter and Andrew, dear father-in-law of Ann and Susan, cherished grandad of Liam and great-grandad of Morgan and Sylvia.
Following his school years Jim completed his national service with the Navy and later went on to work as an ambulance man working in the Accrington area and with his naturally caring personality Jim was highly respected by his colleagues and all those he was called upon to serve. Jim was very active and he loved nothing more than being out in the open air enjoying a walk with his beloved wife Syliva and each day he would be off for his daily swim. He loved his holidays and has spent many happy times touring the UK with his caravan. In his later years Jim took up art classes and spent many happy hours painting.
Jim will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
