Jackie Brady

Peacefully in hospital on 7th September 2022 Jackie aged 80 years of Great Harwood. The devoted wife of the late Michael, adored and loving mum of Andrew and David, loved mother-in-law of Linda and a cherished grandma of Ben, Alex and Emma. Jackie also leaves many friends.

Jackie was the most loving and loyal family lady who always looked forward to gathering for a celebration. She was lovingly known at ‘The Queen’ of Beech Street and on her last Saturday Jackie’s family and friends gathered at Churchfield House to celebrate her 80th birthday, she had a wonderful day with many happy memories made. Jackie devoted her life to all those she shared it with and would give her last penny to help others. She loved to chat and could talk to anyone about anything. Her working life was spent at NORWEB as a credit controller before moving to the post office at Great Harwood where she became a well known face in the local community. She was a member of various local clubs and groups giving much of her spare time to help others. Jackie loved her holidays and has spent many happy times touring the UK and Europe on coach holidays and she once enjoyed a cruise.

Jackie will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her.

Jackie has been a good friend for many years. It was a shock to hear of her passing. She will be sorely missed. She is now resting with Michael ❤️????
