Memorial Book
Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on 21st July 2025, Jack, aged 75 years, of Altham West, Accrington.
The devoted husband of the late Christine, loving and much-loved dad of Carole, Stephen and David, dear father-in-law of Nicola, adored grandad of Graeme, Nina, Olivia, Chloe and Willow, proud great-grandad of young Jack, and cherished brother of Margaret and her husband Leonard. A loved uncle to Mark and Neil, and a respected relative, friend, and neighbour.
Jack was a true gentleman in every sense of the word. He was a strong and steady presence, always there when needed, and was truly devoted to his family. His working life was spent at Calogen, where he was a dedicated process operator. Jack was always a hard worker, earning the respect of his colleagues and making many lasting friendships, including with his lifelong mate Adrian. A football fanatic and loyal supporter of Accrington Stanley, Jack rarely missed a match and took great joy in cheering on his team. In his younger years, he dedicated much of his time to supporting his sons’ football matches, even stepping in to help coach the team. His love of the game passed naturally through the generations, and he was especially proud to watch his great-grandson Jack play. Jack also had a deep love for the outdoors and found real joy in a long, brisk walk. He was a keen gardener and could often be found relaxing with a coffee in his beautifully kept garden, which bloomed with colour throughout spring and summer. Always happy to lend a hand, he was often seen helping neighbours with their gardens too. Jack was a man content with his life. He had everything he needed and cherished what he had. He loved holidays with his beloved wife Christine, enjoying many special trips abroad, including several cruises. After her passing, Jack became the proud owner of a motorhome and set out on solo holidays with his loyal dog, Baxter. Together, they explored the Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales, and even made a memorable journey to Scotland, where Jack visited his dear friend Adrian.
Family flowers only please. Donations can be made in Jack’s memory on behalf of East Lancashire Hospice.
