Ivan Monk

Peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on 26th March 2021, Ivan aged 74 years of Accrington. The devoted and much loved dad of Sharon, Stephanie and Gina, dear father-in-law of Simon and Dez, cherished grandad of Liam, Jon-Paul, Kyle, Nathan, Travis, Steven, Mason, Marley, Kaya, Struan, Lachlan and grandad-in-law to Liam’s beautiful wife Charlotte, great-grandad of Lily, Louie, Jasmine, Laylah and Dominik, dear brother of Ken, Tom, the late Derek, the late Maureen and the late Jeanette and also a respected relative and good friend to many.

Ivan was a well known and loved local character and a regular face in the local pubs and clubs. He could often be found chatting away to his many friends whilst enjoying his favourite drink, double Vodka. Ivan was best known for his wheeling and dealing and could see value where others couldn’t, he never threw anything away and thought nothing of having a rummage through a skip to see what he could find. Ivan had a heart of gold and always provided the best he could for his girls.

Due to Ivan’s love of hats and his outgoing personality, please feel free to wear bright colours and your favourite hat at his funeral.

Family flowers only please, donations are being gratefully received towards to cost of his funeral c/o of the funeral directors or via his ‘GoFundMe’ page. To make a donation please click the link at the bottom of this page.

Please feel free to leave a message for Ivan’s online memorial book by completing the form below.
