So sorry for your loss. Ian was a lovely person. When I joined the tennis club back in 1997, he was the first person to come over to me to make me feel so welcome. He was always warm, welcoming, cheery and enthusiastic. He will be greatly missed.

I am not a psychic, but for some unknown reason, I don’t know what made me think of Ian today after so many years since leaving Billinge Grammar School, Blackburn in the early 1970s. I went on to linked in to search for Ian with a view to getting in touch with him. To my shock, I am deeply saddened to learn that Ian has sadly passed away in May of this year. Ian and I were class fellows at Billinge in the late 1960s. Please pass on my sincere deepest condolences to Ian’s family. Mohammed Iqbal Essa – JP
