Henry Bentley – Harry

On 2nd December 2020 peacefully in a private nursing home, ‘Fortified By The Rites Of Holy Mother Church’, Harry aged 74 years of Accrington. The dearly loved son of the late Nora and Henry Bentley, twin brother of the late Fred, brother of the late Michael, also a dear brother in law and uncle.

Harry was a regular attendee at Mass in the Sacred Heart Church, Accrington and also served behind the bar at the social club where he enjoyed the company of others. Harry also enjoyed watching sport, particularly cricket and had played for Church & Oswaldtwistle Cricket Club in his younger years. His family were well known in Accrington and Harry was a familiar face in the town where he knew many people. He loved to walk into town and pass the time of day with all he came into contact with.
