Helen Lesley Grime

Passed away suddenly at her home on 18th April 2023 aged 51 years of Larkhill Cottages, Old Langho. The adored daughter of Jimmy and Barbara, loved sister of Shaun and his partner Jackie and the late Philip, loving auntie of Amy-Jo and Isabella, dear niece of Andrew, Lesley, David and the late Sheila, Philip and Pat, Helen was also a much loved cousin relative and loyal friend to many.

Following her school years, Helen completed her YTS scheme in sewing before starting her career in care work at Brockhall Hospital where she remained until its closure and then moved to Calderstones before working as a support worker in the community. Wherever Helen worked she was loved and respected by all her colleagues and those she cared for and she always brought a smile to their faces, with her loyal and loving personality Helen was lovingly known as ‘Mama Bear’ to many and her smile would always light up the room when she entered. Helen loved craft work and could spend many happy hours creating her latest masterpiece and she loved to crochet gifts for all her family and friends. She enjoyed meeting up with friends for a brew and a natter and throughout her life Helen has always been surrounded by many wonderful and loyal friends. Helen was always happy and would do anything for anyone often putting others before herself.

Helen will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all those who had the pleasure of calling her a friend.
