Suddenly and unexpectedly in hospital surrounded by his loving family on 7th September 2021, Harold aged 72 years of Clitheroe, formally of Blackburn. The devoted husband of Margaret, much loved dad of Debra, Catherine and Stuart, dear father-in-law of Graham and Darrell, cherished grandad of Auckland, Sophie, Hannah and Jack, dear brother of Jean and Fred and also a respected relative and good friend to many.

Harold started his working life working for the Telegraph where he worked for eleven years as a print setter, he then went in to security working for GEC before embarking on his self employed career running his own business ‘Carus Security’.
He was a member for over ten years of Limestone Rock – 369, Clitheroe Freemasons. At home Harold loved to complete his latest crossword puzzles and could often be found heading down to the golf driving range to perfect his swing. He liked to play golf in his younger years and latterly enjoyed Fridays evenings playing snooker and was known to enjoy a little flutter on the horses. Harold loved the seaside and he always looked forward to a day out to the coast with his wife Margaret visiting his favourite towns of Fleetwood and Cleveleys.
